Current Affairs, Day To Day

Not a day goes by without some sort of threat in Pakistan to its citizens. by these mysterious men we have come to know loosely as the Taliban.

We have as citizens of this country faced, murder, extortion, kidnapping for ransom, days without electricity and food shortages, we have dealt with car jacking and god knows what else but the release of videos like these is shaking the nation to its core. Some people think these videos are propaganda tools against our religion. I ask them today is this our religion?

What drives men to slaughter their fellow men like cattle? In the name of a religion which does not condole the killing of even an ant? What makes these men do what they do? No one has answers to this, I myself saw this video in the morning today and since then have been aghast, I really do not know how to react. It is so gruesome I could only watch part of it before I had to shut down, its as if the fabric of my own sanity threatens to collapses on me like a tent with no support.

I would like to appeal to our media to show the truth, I would like to appeal to those concerned to do something about this. I would like to appeal to my fellow citizens to rise up against these militants as today we are watching others being murdered while tomorrow may bring us to the same spot.

I have taken the link of the video as there was no way to certify the age of the people viewing it, however I would urge each and every one of you to search and view it on the internet so that you can see with your own eyes what is what.

Oh my gosh – I could only watch the first few minutes of the film. It is scarily similar to the propaganda videos of Al Qaeda and Al Qaeda in Iraq, but actually more brutal and violent. I feel sick to my stomach.
